RIP Quinn

Jay's dog passed away suddenly yesterday. She had been acting out of sorts on Monday, and his mom said she was planning on taking her to the vet saturday, Yesterday morning she was even worse and they rushed her to the vet. They found out a tumor had burst inside of her, causing cancer to spread, along with severe internal bleeding. The vet said surgery was possible, but would only give her a little time, and not quality time. From how it was described to me, it sounds like she was pretty much dying at this point and would not have lived through the surgery anyway. Jay's mom raced over from the Academy, and Quinny was put to sleep. Sadly, Jay could not be there as he had his last day of work at his old job, and I did not make it in time. But she knew we loved her, so it's ok.
Quinn was an awesome dog. She was pretty, smart as hell, and just generally filled with personality. She was bright and energetic until the end, and will be missed terribly. A shelter mutt who started out life banged up, she was pampered and much loved. Jay and I donated some money in memory of Quinn to the ASPCA, where she was adopted, to help care for animals until they find their loving forever homes.
